His work on motorway light trails stood out to me so I decided to use it as inspiration.

Analysis

I chose this photo because I loved the colours in the sky, which complement the beautiful light trails beneath. I like how the image is centralised and there is a vignette around the edge, pulling the focus towards the centre of the image.

The sky is not too much of a contrast and appears soft and neutral, with the brightness lying in the light trails and parts of the sky. The colours are predominantly orange/red, which I feel gives a historic look, juxtaposed with the modern traffic.

This photo is also another favourite of mine, particularly because of the sky's colour being very vivid and fantasy-like, and the vegetation beneath it appears dark and powerful in its silhouette form consisting of a crisp, black tone. Cutting through this is the road with the light streaks that seem to fade into the distance; an interesting feature. There is also a nice perspective on this photo, rather than a centralised image, this angle provides a sense of speed and action.

Out of all the photos, I liked this one the best, largely because of the wonderful stars captured above, and also a crisp outline of the terrain against the sky. Again, the ground is a black silhouette, apart from the road which winds its way though the darkness, with the light streak capturing the headlights of a car and then switiching to the red rear lights of the car as it travels round the bend. The headlights of the car also light up the road, hence why the road can be seen, and not just the light streaks.
