As well as taking inspiration from Piper Mackay, I also found many images on Pinterest, which can be found on my Pinterest board of inspiration. These include:
I like the way the sun/light source outlines the subject interestingly. In the first photo, dust particles are also captured, having been lit by the light source. I intend to capture dust particles in my photos too.

I chose this photo to edit because I loved the way it came out, and wanted to further enhance it slightly, as it did not need much editing at all.
I used a soft brush, increased its size and drew a soft circle with a yellow-orange colour in Photoshop. This was on a layer above the image. I set the layer blend mode to Soft Light and this lightened up the model's face and enhanced the glow of the sun. The result can be seen below.
